Jeyamala holds a degree (LLB (Hons)) from University of London and a Certificate of Legal Practice. She was called to the Bar in Malaysia in 1995 and started her legal career in the law firm of Skrine & Co. She was previously a partner in Shahrizat, Rashid & Lee (formerly Rashid & Lee), and is recommended as a leading lawyer for Projects & Energy in the Legal 500 rankings for 2012.
